What's the Point (of my blog)?

     I like to write.  I wish I had something interesting to say.  I'm not sure that anyone really will care to read what I write, and I'm not even sure that I'll tell anyone that I'm writing a blog; so Dear Reader, if you find this, you must have been digging deep and stumbling....In any case, since I'm told that I write really good letters, mainly the kind of letters one sends for the holidays, I think my blog will take the shape of letters, for the most part.  Often in the course of a day, I'll find my thoughts drifting to the observation of some experience, thinking about how I would describe the scene or tell the story to my dad, for example, to whom I used to write emails before he died.  Sometimes I feel the need to explain myself to myself, to my children (in years hence), to my siblings, to my friends...these explanations and and reflections and discoveries of self will be part of my blog.  My interests run from politics to art to animals to ice hockey to family dynamics or lack thereof, and those and more will be my topics....I have definite opinions about death and taxes which I will shortly share.
